8.5yo Spayed Female German Shepherd
Titles: American Schutzhund BT & AS1
Health: Hips & Elbows has been certified through OFA & PennHip as well for hips, DM clear, no allergies. Back about 4yrs ago she partially tore her knee, it has since healed however I am noticing she’s slowing down a tad with jumping and such. She still gets around very well but she has very little self preservation so it would be up to her person to ensure she doesn’t overdo it.
-She is excellent in the house, has a very good off switch, she’s happy just laying down on her bed chewing a bone, cuddling on the couch, or trotting around with a toy. She does however need to be kenneled when left home alone because she can be destructive finding food.
-She is not dog aggressive nor reactive, she doesn’t like obnoxious pushy dogs. She will play with some dogs and definitely prefers floppy eared dogs that aren’t obnoxious and pushy.
Home wise she’s very social with people however is crazy about a ball and can be rude with if not made to be respectful. She’s been around children in passing, however due to not growing up with them and how rude she can be with toys she needs to go to a home without small children. She is an active dog still, although she’s happy chilling on the couch with her human she does still need exercise and structure.
She has a lot of pet obedience as well as competition obedience, she loves scent detection, she’s imprinted on black powder and has an amazing article search.
I don’t want to make this post 10 miles long so for anyone interested I’m happy to answer any questions or give more details.
